INS returns to NOISE POP (San Francisco)
After a tremendous two-day panel series at last year's Noise Pop, which saw lines down the block and straight-to-the-point discussion with the top music professionals in San Francisco, Indie Night School is returning this year to help independent musicians live a more successful life in music.
Convening at the Swedish American Music Hall on March 3 and 4, each day will feature two panels. Among the topics to be covered:
- Booking (getting into the top clubs in the city, working out of the audition circuit, playing non-traditional shows...)
- Management (what to look for in a manager, where to find them, when you need them/and don't need them...)
- Labels (what do they actually do, do you really need one, how to catch their attention)
- Lo-Fi 2.0 (what can musicians learn from the Youtube revolution, how to record on a low-low-low budget, recording music in the post-album world...)
Panelists to be announced soon. Please contact tom [at] theblackspoons [dot] com for more details.
